Congolese women's basketball has just delivered a high-level performance on the regional stage. During the Zone 4 qualifiers for the Women’s Basketball League Africa (WBLA), BC CNSS from the Democratic Republic of the Congo secured their qualification ticket for the final stage of the competition. In a decisive confrontation held at the Henry Elende gymnasium in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, the Congolese team left no chance for their Cameroonian opponents from Forces Armées et Police (FAP). The match, played with intensity, ended in a clear and undisputed victory for BC CNSS, who dominated the encounter with a score of 61-40. This victory confirms the rising strength of this team on the continental scene. Thanks to this success, BC CNSS will proudly represent the zone during the WBLA final phase, which is scheduled to take place in Cairo, Egypt, in December 2026. This qualification is an important milestone for the club, which now aims to challenge the African hierarchy during the Egyptian tournament.
