As part of a public policy monitoring mission in education, Jacques Sosthène Dingara, Minister of Basic Education, visited Bobo-Dioulasso on October 27, 2026. The main objective of this trip was to exchange directly with actors in the education sector of the Guiriko region in order to take stock of the implementation of reforms undertaken at the national level. This follow-up tour is of particular importance to the government, which seeks to guarantee a consistent application of new pedagogical models across the entire territory. At the heart of the discussions were two strategic projects for the Burkinabè education system: the deployment of bi-plurilingual education and the promotion of inclusive education. The minister took advantage of these exchanges to assess the challenges encountered on the ground by teachers and administrative officials, while collecting their observations. The holding of this meeting underlines the desire of the authorities to remain as close as possible to local realities in order to adjust the trajectory of ongoing reforms. While this visit makes it possible to note the commitment of regional stakeholders, the concrete impacts and final quantitative results of these reforms remain under evaluation by the competent departments of the ministry.
