Real Madrid will have to face its historic rival, FC Barcelona, without its usual bulwark, Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian goalkeeper was forced to withdraw from this high-profile clash due to a flu-like illness that struck at the last minute. This absence constitutes a major strategic loss for the Madrid squad, as Courtois occupies a prominent place in the team's defensive setup for big matches. Faced with this unforeseen situation, the Real Madrid coaching staff had to react quickly to complete their selection. To compensate for this defection, young Ukrainian goalkeeper Illia Voloshyn was called up as reinforcement to join the group that will travel to Camp Nou. While the news of the withdrawal was officially confirmed by the club, the precise evolution of the player's health and the exact duration of his unavailability remain, at this stage, subject to his recovery.
